Celebrating Indigenous Voices – Past, Present, & Future

Write Local Play Global in collaboration with Indigenous Cultures Institute and University of Texas at Austin (USA); Young People's Theatre, Toronto, Canada, and ASSITEJ Sweden.

“Celebrating Indigenous Voices” will be a hybrid event. At the Artistic Gathering and on Zoom there will be a roundtable seminar led by indigenous artists Asa Simma of Giron Sami Theater in Sweden and Tupe Lualua, Artistic Director of Le Moana Arts in New Zealand, and coordinated by WLPG Artistic Associate Ginni Manning. An essential addition to the event will be videos of videos of performances by and wit artists from Canada, Sweden, and Texas, USA (available only to festival registrants)
